Between them, on the dirty linoleum floor of the corridor, lay an old woman who’d obviously fainted. She looked very old, frail and thin. Her face was pale and her lips were so blue they were almost black.
Someone slid open a door behind me and I sensed a delicate floral smell, most probably someone’s perfume. ‘Hey. What’s going on?’
I turned around. She looked as sweet as her perfume suggested: short blond hair, dark eyes, cute face and a slim, athletic body wrapped in a leather jacket and a pair of tight white jeans. Yummy.
